Karin Silverstein is a uniquely experienced television producer and executive with stellar credits in network and cable television. With a background in Talent and Development, starting and re-starting cable networks, Executive Producing shows, as both an in-house development executive, consultant, and casting director, she has proven expertise in knowing an audience, working with talent, brands, and trends in content on all platforms.
Currently, Karin is actively consulting on a number of projects in branding and content.
She serves as Co-Producer and helped develop Heather Thomson’s (from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York) podcast, In My Heart with Heather Thomson, and is currently serving as co-producer in a deal with I Heart Radio. The podcast has been running for over 2 years and continues to reach a wide audience and make money from ad sales and sponsors.
Karin also produces the podcast High Vibration Living with Chef Whitney Aronoff and has also brought that under the Cloud10/I Heart Radio banner.
She is also producing a sex and relationship Podcast, Modern Intimacy, with well known therapist Dr. Kate Balestrieri, a contributor to POOSH, and just participated in an event with GOOP and DVF on Sex and Relationships in NYC. Dr. Kate has also been a part of shows on Discovery and more.
Silverstein also produces a Crime podcast, Without Consent, with two Forensic Psychologists, that centers on sex and violence, and emphasizes the “why”, the psychological profiles and also shines a light on how to spot signs and avoid various situations or at least have a heightened awareness of potential danger.
Sirenia is also working with Sara Schulting Kranz on her existing podcast, Live Boldly, helping secure a larger umbrella company and put a sizzle reel together.
Sirenia also consulted on initial brand positioning and go-to-market strategy efforts for Two Chicks Cocktails, a canned RTD cocktail, rated consistently in the Top 10 of new RTD products in the last 3 years. The product is now distributed in Walmarts, Targets and BevMo’s nationwide. She still consults on an ad-hoc basis.
Silverstein was part of the original team that started E! Entertainment Television as head of their Talent & Development division. She was also part of the re-start team at VH1 and the start-up of OWN Network. Silverstein also consulted on a number of cable network startups.
Silverstein was an EP of the Paramount Howie Mandel show, Co-EP of the Howard Stern talk show on E!, Supervising Producer of Late Show with David Letterman and Producer of Beverly's Full House, Oprah’s All Stars, Lovetown and other shows on OWN.
She has also done casting for numerous companies including Ryan Seacrest Productions, OWN, Critical Content, Leftfield, GRB, Endemol (Extreme Makeover Home Edition), VH1, E!, and more.
Silverstein has also done branding for Michele K of Skechers, broadening her scope into a lifestyle brand and her own show on HG; and numerous other talent/experts including wedding expert David Tutera, travel expert Tara Hitchcock, and fashion icon Beverly Johnson, newly elected Governor or Maryland, Wes Moore and many other known talent personalities.
She has had an ongoing and close collaboration with a wide range of prominent names in the industry including David Tutera, David Letterman, Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, Lisa Ling, Alison Dubois, Beverly Johnson, dating expert Paul Carrick Brunson, fashion expert Adam Glassman, Tony Robbins, to name just a few. She has also worked with “hosts” such as Debbie Matenopolous (Home and Family), Tanya McQueen of Extreme Makeover, John Fugelsang (Sirius Radio), Wes Moore of PBS, Daphne Brogdon (Food Network) and numerous others.
Silverstein also consulted for talent agency, Innovative Artists, in Los Angeles, helping them with branding and entry into Social Media, as well as helping with some of the unscripted talent.
